Emulate Virtues Of Prophet Muhammad, Fubara Charges Muslims
As the Muslim faithful across the world mark this year’s Eid-el-Maulud, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sir Siminialayi Fubara, has charged them to emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammad whose birth was being celebrated.
In a statement signed by his Deputy Media Assistant, Bon Onyedi, last Monday, to felicitate with the Muslims in Nigeria and Rivers State in particular on the august occasion, Fubara implored them to imbibe the spirit of love, patience, tolerance and perseverance which are deep spiritual virtues as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad, adding that doing so guarantees the urgently needed peace, security and harmony in Nigeria.
He further enjoined Nigerians especially Muslims to use the occasion to foster love and unity of all and to eschew divisive tendencies such as nepotism, tribalism and religious bigotry that have bedevilled the nation in recent times more so than ever before in the history of the country.
The gubernatorial candidate called on the Muslim community in Rivers State to continue to support the visionary leadership of Governor Nyesom Wike in order to sustain the tempo of development as he finishes strong.
