Handball League: Kano Pillars, Others Perform Impressively
Niger United, Kano Pillars, Plateau Peacock and Seasiders Babes won their matches in their fixtures, on Saturday at the ongoing Match Day Seven, Season Five of the Prudent Energy Premier Handball League.
At the event, which is holding at the Indoor Sports Hall of the University of Lagos, Akoka, Niger United white-washed Owena Kings 43 to 29, while Kano Pillars won again to move closer to the title after defeating De: Defenders 30 to 20 in the male category.
In the female cadre, Benue Queens succumbed to Plateau Peacock 24 – 11, while Imo Grasshoppers beat Rima Queens 30–26, as Defenders Babes overpowered Seasiders Babes 34 to 27.
Yesterday Match Day Eight fixtures, D: Defenders met Benue Buffaloes, while Safety Shooters will square up against Kada Stars, just as Tojemarine Academy will clash with Niger United. League leaders, Kano Pillars will face Owena Kings; Rima Strikers lock horns with Police Machine, while Lagos Seasiders will have a date with Confluence Stars in the male category.
In the female cadre, Seasiders Babes will clash with Adorable Angels; Rima Queens will battle against Kada Queens, and Defenders Babes will fight for supremacy over Benue Queens. Bendel Dynamos versus Plateau Peacocks is also on the card, same as Imo Grasshopper versus Safety Babes.
