Giniwa, Urang, Others Bag Adventist Men Award
The Adventist Men Organisation, Eastern Nigeria Conference of the Seven Day Adventist Church has presented Awards of Excellence to the Gbenemene of Tai Kingdom, King GNK Giniwa and other important dignitories in. the State.
The other dignitaries are: former Director of Finance and Administration, Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, Mr. Job Urang: Hon.Justice Teetito, Senator Magnus Abe; and Senator Olaka Nwogu.
Also honored were, Mr. Gideon Koba, Senator Bari Mpigi , Ambassador Oji Ngofa, and others.
In his welcome address at the ceremony which held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Nchia, Eleme, Director, Adventist Men’s Organization, Elder Phillip Ulogwarama, said the event was to recognize those who have contributed to the development of humanity in their chosen fields of endeavour.
“Today, we wish to honour and pray for all of you who have contributed in various spheres of life positively, impacting humankind.
“Adventist Men’s Organization are partners in societal progress. The political class, traditional rulers, academcians, phillantropists, business moguls, religious leaders, and promoters of peace are all instruments to salvage humanity from the bondage of evil.
“I know the thought I have for you is the thought of good and not of evil, to give you an expected end, says the lord.
“The Lord has remembered you. We have also remembered you.The only way we can tell you to do more is to tell you thank you”, he said.
He said the event will continue to work hard towards achieving the mandate of Christmas which centres on Evangelism.
Also speaking, treasurer of the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference Seventh Day Adventist Church, Elder Emmanuel George Manilla, said the event was an attempt to bring the church closer to the people.
Noting that the event was first of its kind in the District, President, Rivers East Conference, Pastor Joyful Norbana, said the ceremony “will keep leaders on their toes to do good for humanity”, stressing the need for leaders to put the interest of their people first.
