2023: Coalition, Network Drum 100% Support For Fubara …Says He’s Best Choice For Rivers People

A political group with the name, ‘Rivers SIM Support Coalition-RSSC’, has declared its total support for the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Amaopusenibo Siminialayi Fubara, in the 2023 elections.
This is even as the leadership of Sim People United Network Organisation (SPN), Asari-Toru Local Government Area chapter, has reiteratedits commitment to deliver the Rivers State PDP governorship candidate, Siminialayi Fubara, to victory in the 2023 elections.
Shortly after its inaugural meeting in Port Harcourt at the weekend, National Coordinator of RSSC, Comrade Godswill Iyerifama Jaja, said after exhaustive deliberation on the players in the state’s political arena, it was throwing its weight behind Fubara because he was the best choice for Rivers people.
Against this backdrop, the coalition said it has perfected plans to establish offices in the 23 local government areas to mobilise eligible electorate ahead of the elections.
Jaja, while urging the citizens to register for their permanent voters’ cards, reasoned that if Fubara was voted in the 2023 elections, he would secure the future of the state.
The RSSC national coordinator said that so far, the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike-administration has performed excellently well in infrastructure provision, saying that the PDP guber candidate would consolidate on the gains already made and even do more.
On his part, Secretary of the group, Dr. Chukudi Onyezi, assured that RSSC was made up of grassroots politicians who were ready to sensitise the grassroots on the need to vote Fubara in the 2023 elections.
Onyezi said that in the assessment carried out, the PDP candidate does not have a match in next year’s elections.
He expressed the hope that Rivers people would make a wise choice by voting PDP in the 2023 elections.
Similarly, the leadership of Sim People United Network Organisation(SPN), Asari-Toru Local Government Area chapter, has reiteratedits commitment to deliver the Rivers State PDP governorship candidate, Siminialayi Fubara, to victory in the 2023 elections.
This was unanimously agreed during the expanded executive council meeting, which compromises of the LGA and the 13 ward executives at Buguma City, last Saturday.
In his speech at the meeting, the Coordinator, Hon. Ekine Ntiego, charged the ward executives to go for PVC sensitisation, and also win more electorate back home.
He also expressed gratitude to God for giving the statea credible candidate for the governorship election such as Siminialayi Fubara, and described him as God’s sent to consolidate on the good works of Governor Nyesom Wike.
Ntiego charged the coordinators in their various wards to set up five-man unit executive for massive mobilisation in their various communities for the victory of the PDP at all levels.
Solidarity speeches were given by ward coordinators and their executive officers to motivate the people to achieve victory come 2023.

FG Ends Passport Production At Multiple Centres After 62 Years

The Nigeria Immigration Service has officially ended passport production at multiple centres, transitioning to a single, centralised system for the first time in 62 years.
Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, disclosed this yesterday while inspecting Nigeria’s new Centralised Passport Personalisation Centre at the NIS Headquarters in Abuja.
He stated that since the establishment of NIS in 1963, Nigeria had never operated a central passport production centre, until now, marking a major reform milestone.
“The project is 100 per cent ready. Nigeria can now be more productive and efficient in delivering passport services,” Tunji-Ojo said.
He explained that old machines could only produce 250 to 300 passports daily, but the new system had a capacity of 4,500 to 5,000 passports every day.
“With this, NIS can now meet daily demands within just four to five hours of operation,” he added, describing it as a game-changer for passport processing in Nigeria.
“We promised two-week delivery, and we’re now pushing for one week.
“Automation and optimisation are crucial for keeping this promise to Nigerians,” the minister said.
He noted that centralisation, in line with global standards, would improve uniformity and enhance the overall integrity of Nigerian travel documents worldwide.
Tunji-Ojo described the development as a step toward bringing services closer to Nigerians while driving a culture of efficiency and total passport system reform.
He said the centralised production system aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s reform agenda, boosting NIS capacity and changing the narrative for better service delivery.
