PETAN, Oil Industry Leaders Kick Off SAIPEC, ‘Morrow
The Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) is set to host the sixth edition of its annual conference and exhibition at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos, Nigeria, starting tomorrow.
The entire Sub-Saharan Africa energy community would gather for the 6th SAIPEC in Lagos from February 22 through 24, to connect, collaborate and create.
This unique gathering of over 6,000 industry professionals across three days, creates a platform for unrivalled business opportunities and the chance to interact with over 150 organisations all under one roof.
Hosted by PETAN and inaugurated seven years ago to foster collaboration – providing an engagement platform for all the key stakeholders in the oil and gas industry in Sub-Saharan Africa – SAIPEC’s objective remains to provide opportunities to leverage on experiences and ensure regional collaborations between National Oil companies (NOCs), international oil companies (IOCs), multinational and indigenous service providers in Africa.
SAIPEC has always set precedence for an honest debate so the continent can develop and progress by setting the blueprint NOCs and regulators need to adapt their strategies to the IOCs through independent sessions on local content discussions.
Covering a week, SAIPEC will start with the Regulator Roundtable followed by three full days of conference and exhibition and concluding with the PETAN Golf Tournament which is now in its second year.
To set an agenda for Africa’s evolving oil, gas and energy industry, speakers and delegates are expected from across more than 25 countries.
The programme of events for this year’s strategic conference lists speakers and heads of NOCs from Liberia, Uganda, The Gambia, Gabon, Somaliland, Mauritania, Namibia, Angola, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Ghana and Kenya.
It also features opening keynote addresses from top oil and gas Nigerian companies, regulatory agencies and visiting senior-level delegates.
Over 100 exhibitors would be showcasing their industry solutions and innovative technologies to develop business across the oil, gas and energy value chain.
The SAIPEC exhibition provides exhibiting companies with many fantastic opportunities and much exposure.
Exhibitors such as SNEPCo, Total, H-PTP Energy Services Limited, SAIPEM, Ponticelli, Westfield Energy, Gambia National Petroleum Corporation, Uganda National Oil Company, NCDMB, INP Mozambique and many more, are expected to each showcase their market-leading industry solutions and innovative technologies.
Day One’s line-up on the programme of event include special opening addresses, companies showcases from NOCs and regulators and four business, technical and special-focus sessions providing insights into the region’s hydrocarbon businesses.
The SAIPEC conference and exhibition is the continent’s largest leading oil, gas and energy event and has been organised in adherence with current government COVID-19 safety requirements in Nigeria, including restricted entrance, event team testing, sanitisation facilities and a reduced attendee number in the venue.
