2023: PDP’ll Restore Peace In Nigeria -Party Chief
Ahead of the 2023 general elections in Nigeria, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Hon, Godwin Pepple, has affairmed that his party would restore peace for the nation and run an all-inclusive government.
Speaking with journalists recently in Port Harcourt, Pepple observed that going by records of crises in other political parties taking part in the polls, only PDP can guarantee a peaceful atmosphere for good governance.
He reiterated the need for a peaceful political party to occupy the Aso Rock, arguing that what the peace-loving people of the country needed is a peaceful party with the interest of the masses in mind.
Pepple who double as Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) expressed the hope that the next dispensation will usher in a focused administration that will hit the ground running in executing development projects.
“What I am saying is that we as the good people of Nigeria have had enough of these crises-ridden political parties.
“I sincerely believe that the election coming up in 2023 is the appropriate time for us to show maturity and experience in choosing a resourceful political group and focused candidate that would meet the yearnings of our people in the cities , towns and villages, across the country,” he said.
Pepple said, “Let us forget about these other political parties that are known for generating news from court cases for the media, instead of generating news about initiating laudable projects and commissioning of completed projects,” he said.
