New GOC, 6 Div Nigerian Army Assumes Office In PH
The new General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Major General Sani Gambo Mohammed, has assumed office following the recent redeployment of senior military officers in the Nigerian Army.
A statement by Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 6 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Charles Ekeocha, said the general public, particularly residents of Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa and Delta states should be aware of the recent appointment.
The statement said the new GOC is seasoned senior officer that has attended all mandatory courses and served in several Nigerian Army formations and units as well military establishments where he held various appointments.
The statement further said before his new appointment, as the Seventh General Officer Commanding 6 Division, Nigerian Army, he was a Director at Army Headquarters’ Department of Training and Operations.
