Rivers PDP Schedules Chairmanship Primaries On Valentine’s Day

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has scheduled its councillorship and chairmanship primaries for February 11 and 14, 2021.
The Chairman of the party, Amb Desmond Akawor, announced this, yesterday, during the bi-weekly prayer and worship session tagged, “An Hour With Jesus” at the party’s secretariat in Port Harcourt.
He disclosed that the chairmanship primary would hold on February 14, 2021, which is Valentine’s Day.
Akawor, who spoke through the state Deputy Chairman, Chukwuemeka Aaron, said the party was fully prepared for the election, and advised all aspirants to see the primaries as a family affair.
It would be recalled that, last year, the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) fixed
April 17,for the conduct of council elections.
It also gave political parties the go ahead to conduct its primaries from January, 2021.

HoS Hails Fubara Over Provision of Accommodation for Permanent Secretaries

The Head of Service (HoS) of Rivers State, Dr. Mrs. Inyingi S. I. Brown, has commended Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, for approving befitting accommodation for Permanent Secretaries in the state.

A breakdown of the initiative shows that 319 forms will be distributed across the 319 political wards in Rivers State, while five forms are allocated to non-indigenes and five forms to persons living with disabilities.
