LG Boss Hails Wike’s S’ Court Victory

The Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, High Chief Tom Aliezi, has described the Supreme Court victory of Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike as victory for democracy.
Eliezi in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Loveday Ihua, at the weekend, said the judgement has so far, vindicated Wike as duly elected Governor of the state.
The Chairman also stated that the victory was a confirmation that the Governor is ordained to lead the “good people of Rivers State” to the promised land.
According to him, the emergence of Nyesom Wike as the governor was the best thing that had happened to the people.
Concerning the three-man committee led by justice Inyang okoro, he said they deserve commendation due to what he described as excellent judgment.
While stating that, the judgement had further proved that the judiciary was the hope of the common man, the council boss said.
“The judgment is a victory for Nigeria and democracy, especially for Rivers people. In all , the judiciary had shown that it is the last hope of the common man”.
Hon Aliezi also lauded the people of Rivers State for their support to the Governor towards the success recorded especially on project delivery and the security of lives and property in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
He however, warned against any form of dis-attraction against the governor in order to enable him lead the state as planned.
Aliezi, therefore called on Engr Awara and his team, and all those behind him to eschew rancour and bitterness and join hands with the government in order to move the state forward.
