Church Seeks More Labourers In God’s Vineyard …Appraises Achievements In 47 Years

As part of activities to celebrate the 47th anniversary of Greater Evangelism World Crusade, members thronged Rukpokwu, the world headquarters of the church recently for a thanksgiving service.
The International Director of the Church, Pastor Isaac Olori led members to honour God for sustaining the church all these years.
Olori said, “God has redeemed us and He is on our side”, as he drew his text from Psalms 124:1-8, adding that none should have any fears.
He referred to the confidence of David, the Psalmist and assured that in spite of the plans of the enemy, Satan, the children of God shall triumph spiritually and otherwise.
The international director noted that Christians must emulate the Spirit of Apostle Paul, who said: “If God be for us, who can be against us?”
However, Olori cautioned against the evil spirit of rebellion and negative thinking in order to be fit for escape from predators.
Earlier, Olori presented an anniversary message, the excerpts of which are as follows:
“As we reflect on the journey of these 47 years, the challenges, battles and victories, we cannot but celebrate God’s grace and faithfulness to us as individuals and as a ministry. Though we are far from our desired goal, we have every cause to give glory and praise to God for sustaining the course of the vision for these past 47 years.
“This no doubt, will continually reassure us that the vision as received by our founding father of blessed memory, Apostle G.D. Numbere is a God-given vision and God will always be committed to that which He births.
“We must also note, as the years count, the glaring gap and need for labourers committed to the vision becomes more obvious and critical.
“As churches, zones, areas, districts” mission and nations (which now form the structure of the ministry), Units and Departments, we must begin to re-align our programmes and activities to major on our major soul-winning.
“I call on the youths, young men and women, to deploy and invest the strength of their youthful age as vanguards of this vision, it’s your heritage, our leadership must be counted at this crucial stage of the vision, may we be available.
“The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth labourers into His harvest” (Luke 10:2).
