The Supervisory Councillor for Health in Etche Local Government Council of Rivers State, Hon. Chimezie Ogbu has promise to mobilise the entire Etche people for the re-election of the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike in 2019 General Elections in the area.
Ogbu stated this shortly after taking his oath office and subsequent swearing-in as a supervisor in the area by the LGA boss, Hon. Obinna Anyanwu at the council secretariat, Okehi, last Monday.
He said that the enormous developmental projects the state governor had done in the area had given him the edge to win the 2019 election in the area.
Ogbu said the local government area was the home of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“We have only PDP here. There is no other party. So, we will make sure that we mobilize the grassroots to ensure that all the party flag-bearers succeed in 2019 General Elections in the area”.
Ogbu said that with the on-going good works the Chairman of the council, Hon. Obinna Anyanwu, “we are hopeful that we are going to win the 2019 General Elections.”
He thanked the leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the LGA, Hon. Jerome Eke and the LGA boss for the opportunity given him to serve, and assured that he would work for the development of the area as well as the overall victory of the party.
The former ELGA CTC member and supervisory councillor for works called on the people of the area to continue to support the administration of Governor Nyesom Wike and the local government for the development of the area.
