2019: APC’ll Lose Elections In Dogara’s Town –PDP
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Daniel Komo, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would lose the 2019 elections in the home town of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara.
He explained that this was because the PDP is the only accepted and popular party in the area.
Komo spoke with newsmen in an interview, yesterday following PDP’s victory in the area during last Saturday’s senatorial bye-election.
He said, “I assured my party – PDP, that even if President Buhari and former NLC president, Adams Oshiomhole relocate to Bogoro ahead of 2019 elections, APC will not win Bogoro because our people have accepted PDP as the only political party.”
The PDP chairman further stated that Bogoro was a no-go area for the ruling party, as he lauded PDP’s giant strides in sixteen years of administration “unlike poverty, hunger and lack of justice under APC”.
He challenged the purported victory of the ruling party in the recent governorship election in Ekiti and Saturday’s bye-election in Bauchi, while describing the results as coup and attempt to truncate democracy in Nigeria.
“Vividly APC tried to rigged election in Bogoro but as defenders of democracy we vehemently resisted. But unfortunate INEC and security agents were used to disenfranchised over 80,000 voters in some LGAs,” Komo alleged.
