Eucharia Anunobi Loses Only Child …As Obi Madubogwu Bows To Death
Veteran Nollywood actress Eucharia Anunobi has confirmed the news of the death of her only child, Raymond. The news of the death of the 15-year-old boy broke earlier on Tuesday as it was reported that Raymond died of sickle cell anaemia, a sickness he was reportedly born with.
Speaking with reporters on the child’s death, the actress said “my son has gone to our place of origin to be with our daddy Jesus waiting for me when I eventually go there at the fullness of time, God knows best, thank you, I appreciate”.
Meanwhile, Nollywood actor, Obi Madubogwu who has been battling with acute diabetes and foot ulcers for sometime now, has finally lost the battle to death. He died on Monday, August 28 after he developed fever and was rushed to the hospital where he had complications and later gave up the ghost.
Some months ago, the actor expressed his heart-felt thanks to Nigerians who helped him out financially, physically and spiritually. He also urged them not to give up on him, but to assist him complete the final stage of his treatment which entailed flying out to a U.S. hospital.
Confirming Madubogwu’s demise on the film makers platform on WhatsApp called Film4Life Monday evening, Veteran Producer, Chief Nwokeabia wrote: “Obi is dead, we just spoke to his wife. He developed fever yesterday, went to the hospital this morning, had complications and died. The family will be taking the corpse home tomorrow”.
Also, the newly elected president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Mr Emeka Rollas confirmed the news of Madubogwu’s death saying “it is sad that after receiving Obi’s congratulatory message on the telephone, he did not live to see me face to face and thereafter meet the reforms we are about bringing to AGN with this new excos”.
“Obi was part of this dream to see that I become the president of the Guild, last year I chaired the event organised by his Saving Life for Africa Diabetes Foundation. We talked about how I would use AGN help drive his foundation if I become president of AGN. This is another sad day for Nollywood”, may his soul rest in peace, he reacted.
Obi Madubogwu who become popular for his role as King of Musanga in the block buster movie “Battle of Muzanga” was formerly on admission at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Ebute Meta Yaba, Lagos State. The actor was known for his lead roles in movies such as ‘Passion Of My Blood’ “Mothers In-Law, the King of Musanga among others.

They Booed, Threw Bottles At Me – Tems Recounts
R&B star, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has recounted the early-career challenges she faced, revealing that she was once booed out of the stage while performing at a school event.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen, the Crazy Tings crooner shared that she wasn’t only booed but was also harassed with plastic bottles.
“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receiving a standing ovation.
“But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,” she recalled.
Tems explained that despite the embarrassing incident and other such rejections, she remained determined to pursue a career in music.
The Tide Entertainment reports that Tems admitted that some of the initial rejections she faced could be due to her conviction to stick to her originality instead of doing covers or familiar sounds like most of her peers.
The Grammy-winning singer said looking back now, she is glad that she didn’t compromise her style despite the initial pressures.

Primeboy Pleads For Mohbad’s Burial
A close associate of late singer Mohbad, Primeboy, has appealed for the artiste’s burial nearly three years after his death.
According to him, Mohbad’s body remains in the mortuary since September 12, 2023, pending burial arrangements.
The Tide Entertainment reports that in a statement Primeboy urged the family, public, and government to permit the burial, stating, “It’s been almost three years since Mohbad left us. His body is still in the mortuary. I’m begging the family, I’m begging the public, I’m begging the government, please let’s bury our brother. He deserves a befitting burial.”
It would be recalled that Mohbad’s death sparked public outrage, protests, and investigations. Ongoing autopsy examinations, police inquiries, and legal proceedings have delayed burial arrangements amid family disagreements and public scrutiny.
