Bayelsa FCC Opens Condolence Register For Late Colleague
A condolence register has been opened by the leadership of the Federated Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Bayelsa State Council for the late member, Mr. Chris Ejim, of the New Telegraph Newspaper.
In a brief ceremony held at the chapel office along Toolda Road, Ekeki, the State Chairman of NUJ, Comrade John Angese, described the death of late Chris as a great loss to the journalism profession.
Represented by the Vice Chairman of NUJ, Samuel Numonengi, the NUJ Chairman expressed his condolences to the entire membership of Correspondent’s Chapel over the loss.
In a remark, the Chairman of Correspondents’ Chapel of NUJ in the state, Comrade Kola Oredipe, said the chapel had lost a very strong and committed member, whose writing skill is unparalled.
Comrade Oredipe, urged all those wishing to document their encounter with late Chris to visit the Correspondents’ Chapel office between 9am and 4pm.
Earlier, during the congress meeting of the chapel, members like Tife Owolabi of Reuters International, Aaron Fyneface of The Tide, Osahon Julius of Guardian, Aherhoke Okioma of Blueprint and Alambo Datonye of Radio Nigeria, paid their tributes to the late member, describing him as a man of peace.
