Monarch Assures Improved Community, Firms’ Relationship
The newly crowned Okan-Ama of Anyamboko Community in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRH Uboon Awajigbanam Jonathan J. Biariko, has pledged to improve the community’s relationship with companies operating in the area.
Uboon Biariko, who said this in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt, pledged to promote peace, unity and development of the community.
The monarch said that as a traditional ruler, it behoves him to work with security agencies and other government agencies to promote peace in the area, adding that all incidences of youth restiveness would be checked.
According to him, an elders council would be set up in the community while the youth will be regularly consulted with a view to knowing their problems and proffer solutions.
The Anyamboko monarch also stressed the need for the siting of development projects in the community, stressing that in spite of its contributions to the economy of both the state and nation, Anyamboko community cannot boast of any government project.
He listed some projects lacking in the community to include good drinking water, electricity and roads as well as educational institutions such as primary and secondary schools.
Uboon Biariko thanked the people for the opportunity given him to serve them and solicited for their cooperation and support to enable him succeed.
