Union Assures Members Of Improved Working Condition
The General-Secretary,
National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), Joe Ajaero, has recently said the union would ensure good working condition for its members in the country.
Fielding questions from newsmen in Ibadan, Ajaero said the union had commenced negotiation with some electricity distribution companies in the country on the issue.
He said the union was discussing with Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company on new condition of service for the member’s.
“We have reached 90 per cent and after concluding the agreement, we will demand for salary increment.
“The issues of promotion, salary discrepancy, allowances and other important subheads will also be reviewed once the document is signed.’’
Ajaero also said that the Union had embarked on some projects in parts of the country to uplift members’ living standard and to enhance productivity.
“In Jos, we have established a Pole Manufacturing Company, in addition to our hotel in Abuja for income generation.’’
