FG Appoints New NPA’s MD, Others
The Nigerian Ports
Authority (NPA) now has Ms Hadiza Bala Usman as its new Managing Director.
Ms Usman, the first female Managing Director of the Authority takes over from Mallam HabibAbdullahi.
Her appointment which was approved by the President, Muhammadu Buhari and made known by the Director, Communication of the Ministry of Transport, Mrs Yetunde Sonaike, takes effect from July 11, 2016.
Born on January 2, 1976 in Zaria, Kaduna State, Ms Usman bags a B.SC degree in Business Administration from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria and a post-graduate degree in Development Studies from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom 2009.
Three other directors were also appointed to oversee activities of the authority .
They include Mohammed Bello-Koko who now is the Executive Director in charge of Finance, Professor Idris Abubakar is in charge of Engineering and Dr Sokonte Davies is the Executive Director, Marine Operations of the authority.
They have all assurmed duties.
