Government has been called to provide stable power supply in order to improve the economic live of the people.
The chairman, Community Development Community, Egbelu Ozodo, Mr Samuel Wokem made the call while addressing newsmen in Egbelu community in Obio/Akpor Local Government last week.
He acknowledged the governor’s effort in transforming the state, adding that steady power supply was important in economic activities.
Wokem, pointed out that his community has suffered power outage for about six years due to a faulty transformer.
He said power supply in the area would be appreciated by the people, if the state government could come to their aid.
He also appealed to the Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration to fix the Egbelu-Ngbaraja-AIT road before the rainy season sets in.
According to him, the road is a major road, capable of boosting economic activities in the area, if it was in a proper shape.
On the issue of the Mono Rail project by the past government, he said the state government should divert whatever fund earmarked for the project to other areas.
