RSG Dissolves GPHCDA Board …Orders Refuse Contractors Back To Work
The Rivers State Government has dissolved with immediate effect the Board of Directors of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority (GPHCDA).
A statement signed by Emma Okah on behalf of the government directed the former Administrator of the Authority, Mrs Aleruchi Cookey-Gam to handover the administration and all property of the authority to its Secretary with immediate effect.
In a related development, the Rivers State Government has directed all refuse contractors in the state to return to their areas of work immediately and clear the streets of refuse.
A statement signed by Emma Okah, however, invited the contractors to meet with the State Governor, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10am at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt.
