Oparanozie Assures On Falcons’ W/Cup Performance
Super Falcons’ forward,
Desire Oparanozie, has assured Nigerians of a great performance by the team at the 2015 Women’s World Cup scheduled for June in Canada.
Oparanozie, who plays for French clubside En Avant Guingamp, however told newsmen that there was still a lot of work to be done on the team.
The team had beaten Mali 8-0 in Abuja to qualify on a 9-1 aggregate for the 2015 All-Africa Games (AAG).
“Nigerians should expect nothing short of a great performance from us at the World Cup.
“Though we still have a lot more work to do on the team, but we will not let Nigerians down,’’ the player said.
Oparanozie, who won the 2014 African Women Championship (AWC) Golden Boot with five goals, also she was not completely satisfied with the team’s performance against Mali on Friday.
“I will not say that I am 100 per cent satisfied with our performance but we did well and, like I said earlier, more work still needed to be done on the team,’’ she said.
