The All Progressives
Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate in Rivers State, Hon. Honourable Asita, has called on women to pray for the election of good leaders in the forthcoming elections.
Hon. Asita made the call yesterday while celebrating with mothers at the 2015 Mothering Sunday Thanksgiving Service in some churches in Rivers State.
Hon. Asita who led some APC chieftains to celebrate Mothering Sunday Service at Bishop Samuel Anglican Church, Holy Trinity Church, Rumuapara; St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Elekahia, and St. Matthias Anglican Church Atali; all in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the State, described women as pillars of any progressive nation.
He urged the women to come out enmasse to decide the leadership of the country warning that a wrong choice made in the leadership of the state, would win the future of their generations.
The Vicar of Holy Trinity Church, Rumuapara, Rt. Ven. Victor O. Orlornwi prayed that God will not allow blood thirsty politicians to rule the state.
He advised politicians and political parties to play politics by the rule, and not to cause violence, saying no amount of violence would surpass the will of God in the coming elections.
The cleric prayed for APC’s victory in the coming election in the state.
Also, the Vicar of St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Ven. Jolly Ndubuisi, assured Hon. Asita and APC victory, saying that, God honours only those who are humble and seek His face.
