AMORC Tasks Nigerians On Violence-Free Polls
The Rosicrucian Order,
otherwise known as the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC), has urged Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the general elections.
The Grand Administrator of the organisation Mr Kenneth Odiodi, gave the advice at a news briefing in Warri, Uvwie local government area of Delta.
Odiodi, who is also the President of AMORC in Nigeria and Vice President worldwide, urged Nigerians to vote according to their conscience and shun violence during and after the elections.
The news conference was the climax of a three-day Delta/Edo Regional Rotational Conclave 2015 conference of the organisation.
The theme of the programme was, “Towards National Security and a Better World.”
The three-day event was an annual programme put together by the organisation to enhance happiness and welfare of humanity through an understanding of Rosicrucian principles.
The AMORC boss blamed Nigerian leaders on the poor state of the nation, saying that they failed to take the responsibility of directing the people towards realising their goals and aspirations.
“The bane of the country’s progress is hinged on mediocrity of past leaders.
“The forceful bringing together of Nigerians, to share a common destiny, demands that Nigerian leaders should take the responsibility of directing the people towards the fulfillment of their aspirations.
‘’Nigerians have the right to demand the fulfillment of their aspirations from their leaders. Nigerian leaders, whether good or bad, are a reflection of the society,’’ he said.
Odiodi said Nigerians would continue to witness difficulties until they learn to study and investigate the natural and spiritual laws of the universe as done in AMORC.
He attributed the security challenges in the world to the act of commission and omission either by words, thoughts and deeds of everyone.
“If Nigeria must enjoy peace and security, every Nigerian should mind the seeds he or she sows.
“Non-violent elections can only be achieved through careful choices in thoughts, words and deeds,’’ he said.
In attendance were Mr Samuel Ojo, Grand Counsellor, Delta North and Central, Mr Anthony Nwajei, Grand Counsellor, Delta North and Regional Monitor, Warri, Mrs Roselinda Dafikpaku.
