OPM Leader’s Wife Gives Birth After 8yr

It came as surprise to every one who knew the wife of the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Evang Nkechi Gift Chinyere, some years back, that the woman diagnosed to be without womb, could against medial and human knowledge, give birth to a baby after eight years of fruitless marriage.
The miracle, which occurred last Tuesday at about 10.10am in far away Dallas in the United States of America, was described as unbelievable to both the doctors and nurses, as the child on delivery, weighed 10LBS and was recorded as the heaviest child of the day in the hospital.
Speaking through the church media director, Mr G,F Isaiah, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere said he was the happiest ,man on earth, having survived all the insults and reproach caused him by the long wait.
Apostle Chinyere recalled that after his two years of marriage without the fruit of the womb, his wife became very worried, adding that as a result he directed his elder sister to accompany his wife to an undisclosed hospital somewhere in Port Harcourt for examination.
On examination, the doctor confirmed that his wife allegedly without womb and cannot bear a child, he added.
According to him, armed with the information, his sister resorted to blackmailing his wife and the church.
The Man of God, whose joy knows no limit said “today, Doctor Jesus has remembered me and my wife, and has also rolled away the shame and forever silence my adversaries.
He thanked the Almighty God, who has once again demonstrated his power, mercy and grace upon his life.
The Tide learnt that the glorious baby, who is due to arrive Nigeria soonest, will be dedicated to God at the OPM church headquarters, Port Harcourt in October 2, 2013 alongside the church 7th anniversary and the general overseers 40th birthday celebration.
Also recounting his success story, the servant of God said for a seven year old ministry to have established 82 branches in and outside Nigeria with well over 300,000 worshippers across the globe is incredible, and deserves celebration and thanksgiving.

HoS Hails Fubara Over Provision of Accommodation for Permanent Secretaries

The Head of Service (HoS) of Rivers State, Dr. Mrs. Inyingi S. I. Brown, has commended Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, for approving befitting accommodation for Permanent Secretaries in the state.

This commendation was contained in a press release made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt.

According to the Head of Service, Governor Fubara has continued to demonstrate uncommon commitment to the welfare of civil servants in Rivers State, stressing that such gestures underscore his people-oriented leadership style. She urged civil servants across the state to remain supportive of the governor’s administration in order to sustain good governance and effective public service delivery.

Speaking on behalf of the Body of Permanent Secretaries, Dr. Brown congratulated Governor Fubara on the occasion of his 51st birthday, describing him as “a Governor who leads by serving.”

She further praised the governor’s service-driven and people-centred leadership approach, noting that it has significantly contributed to institutional stability and improved efficiency within the state’s public service. Special appreciation was expressed for the approval of a befitting accommodation complex for Permanent Secretaries, which she said reflects the governor’s commitment to staff welfare and enhanced productivity.

As part of activities to mark the governor’s birthday, the Body of Permanent Secretaries announced the sponsorship of 329 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for indigent students across the state.

A breakdown of the initiative shows that 319 forms will be distributed across the 319 political wards in Rivers State, while five forms are allocated to non-indigenes and five forms to persons living with disabilities.
