Commander Hails FRSC’s Retreat
The Zonal Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Yakubu Attah has described the retreat organised by the Elele Unit of the Corps in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State as timely.
Mr Attah, who was represented by the Zonal Head of Administration and Human Resources, Commander Patricia Emeordi made the assertion while speaking at the programme held at Vintage Farm Elele last Wednesday.
According to him, the retreat had afforded stakeholders the opportunity to brainstorm on a way forward, and lauded the unit Commander, Mr Ugochukwu Amaechi for his vision.
He said the retreat with its theme; enhancing productivity and Safety Enforcement”, was apt as the management is emphasizing on training and retraining, adding that training is a continues process and enjoined them to be courageous on their duties.
In his speech, the Sector Commander FRSC, Rivers State Command, Mr Kayode Olagunju admonished them to be disciplined at all times by doing the right as any act of indiscipline would portray the image of the command in bad light.
Mr Olagunju, who was represented by the Staff Officer operations II of the Command, Mr Charles Ezichi also thanked the Elele Unit Commander for the initiative and enjoined others to take a leaf.
In his welcome address, the Elele Unit Commander of FRSC, Mr Ugochukwu Amaechi thanked all for making the programme a huge success, and assured that with the dedicated officers and men of the unit, they would continue to carry out their duties diligently and effectively.
The occasion was attended by officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Red Cross, Federal Road Safety Corps Special Marshals, the Magistrate in Isiokpo, Security agents among others, while papers on “prospects and challenges of patrol operation, Inter-Agency Relations, benefits for improved productivity and moral standard, FRSC perspectives were presented by the Assistant Comptroller of Prisons, Mr Imo Ikalokluele, the DPO Elele Police Division and Mr Godspower Amadi respectively.
