Only Prayer Can Change Nigeria – Dame Amaechi
Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Dame Judith Amaechi says only prayers can address the teething challenges facing the country.
Mrs Amaechi stated this during the first Sunday service at Royal House of Grace, Port Harcourt.
She stated that the challenge facing the country was a passing phase which could be addressed with prayers.
Speaking on the topic: “only mothers can travail and give birth to life” said the role of women goes beyond child bearing but also a change agent who through prayers can cause change in dead situation.
“Women give birth to children and they can give life to dead situation also through genuine prayers to God”.
Mrs Amaechi represented by Hon Maureen Tamuno, Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, said lamenting over challenges facing the country would not glorify God and not in the interest of mankind.
She stated that women have the enormous potentials to pray for Nigeria and cause change to happen.
“We have testimony of great women in the bible who through prayer changed their destinies. Such women like Hannah and Esther prayed their way to success, we need to follow suit”.
She stated that if women agree in one accord to intercede for the government and country in prayers a lot would be achieved collectively.
