FG To Attend Kindergarten Conference
The Federal Governemnt has expressed its willingness to attend a two day second national conference on Kindergarten education in Nigeria, organised by a non governmental organisation, empowerment Support Initiative (ESI) in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Minister of State for Education, Barr. Ezenwo Nyeso Wike who stated this in a letter to the founder of the organisation and wife of the governor of Rivers State, Dame Judith Amaechi said that the Federal Government was attending this event due to the life changing project and programmes of the NGO.
The minister stated that the Federal Government would be partnering with ESI in areas of mutual interest.
“That we use this opportunity to salute you for your priceless services to Rivers State and the nation through the life changing projects and program of the Empowerment Support Initiative. The Federal Ministry of Education looks forward to partnering with you in area of common interest.
The two day 2nd national conference on Kindergarten education with theme Kindergarten Education: The Foundation for Human Development will hold on Wednesday 26though Friday 28 October at the Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt.
Unicef country representative Nigeria, Dr. Suomi Saka will deliver the keynote address while the Rivers State governor Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amachi will speak on the Kindergarten Education in Nigeria State Government’s Involvement. Other speakers include Prof. Mrs. Julie Ibiam of UNN, Dr. S. Varerie Samuel, Director, Granville Lagos, Rt. Hon. Otelemaba Amachree, Speaker Rivers State House of Assembly among others.
