FRSC FC, Good Enough For Premier League
Coach Loveday Omoruyi of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) FC of Abuja has declared that his Nigerian National League (NNL) team is good enough to play in the Nigerian Premier League.
Omoruyi, who spoke against the background of his team’s present form in the professional league, said his submission was based on the fact that the team had been playing very well in recent times.
FRSC FC last weekend in Abuja defeated city rivals Supreme Court FC 1-0 in an NNL Group A week six match played at the Old Parade Ground in Abuja.
The coach told newsmen that his team was beginning to play well after a shaky start at the beginning of the league competition.
“I think this team is good enough to play in the senior league and this is evident in the way the players have been performing,’’ he said.
The coach said FRSC FC’s present level of performance had for long been his target, adding that he was happy with the way the team played against Supreme Court FC.
“I am happy with the way we played on Saturday; we really deserved to win because we worked for it,” he said.
FRSC FC, now among the Group A leaders, has 12 points from five games, with one match outstanding.
