Andoni Stakeholders Pass Confidence Vote On Amaechi
Stakeholders in Andoni LGA have passed a vote of confidence on the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi for his impressive developmental efforts in the State.
This was part of the resolutions at a meeting which was held at Ngo, Headquarters of Andoni LGA was well attended by Chiefs, Elders, some past and serving Public Officers, Youths and women of Andoni LGA.
Meanwhile as part of measures to restore confidence in the leadership of the PDP in Andoni LGA of Rivers State, Stakeholders in the area have upheld the motion of the eight PDP Ward Chairmen seeking the removal of the party chairman, Mr Ere Victor and Secretary, Mr Paul Ayagwung.
Speaking at the forum, the stakeholders said the decision to sack the party officers was in the best interest of party and LGA as a whole, in view of the strong allegations of financial impropriety, high handedness and gross misconduct leveled against them.
Chairman for Ward eight Mr Eyoka David and his counterparts for Ward nine Mr Teleyem Zebekiah and Ward one, Mr Wanye Sunday decried the unethical and fraudulent manner the party leaders have piloted the activities of the party which have created ill-feelings and disunity in the party.
In their separate speeches, the stakeholders commended the chairman of the LGA, Mrs Emilia Gilbert Nte for providing a forum for peaceful dialogue and fair hearing and expressed disappointment over the failure of the affected two party Executives for their failure to attend the stake holder’s forum to defend themselves of the allegations.
Earlier the Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area Mrs Emilia Gilbert-Nte had sued for peace stressing that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.
The meeting was attended by the former Commissioner of Commerce and Industry Hon. Robert Elleh, official of the State PDP Exco. Hon. Ogi Sobere Etete, Sam Sam Etete – Adviser to the Governor on Primary Education, former chairmen and elders of PDP in the LGA.
