The National Executive of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on yesterday passed a vote of confidence on Acting President, Goodluck Jonathan for his leadership style.
The national chairman of the party, Chief Vincent Ogbulafor, told newsmen shortly after a closed door meeting with Jonathan that members of the committee passed the vote of confidence during their solidarity visit to the State House
He said they also discussed some issues affecting the nation with the acting president.
Ogbulafor said, “the key issue we discussed is about giving him support and telling him that PDP is solidly behind him.
‘We urged him to go on with what he is doing in the interest of the generality of the people who voted us into power.
“Usually, from time to time, we meet and consult with our leaders when we have problems or need advice. He gives us advice, and it is at a forum like this that we tell ourselves the truth.
‘The acting president has pleased the party so far, and he is going according to our plan”.
The chairman dismissed insinuations that Jonathan did not consult the party before sending the list of ministerial nominees to the Senate for approval.
He said the party had no problem with the list, adding , we are happy with his nominees.
