2019 Polls Won’t Be Free And Fair – Cleric
A renowned clergyman and General Overseer of the Model Church, Pastor Standfast Robinson has predicted that the 2019 general elections across the country will hold as planned but that the elections won’t be free and fair. The clergyman, who made the prediction while speaking with newsmen shortly after the dedication of the church headquarters buildings in Jagwuruta Ali in Port Harcourt recently, also urged Christians to pray hard for God to avert the looming dangers that may befall the country in the event of a chaotic exercise in 2019, saying that, “the big men at the top know that God is not happy with Nigeria.”
He predicted: “2019 elections will hold but it will not be free and fair election and because it will not be free and fair, it’s going to cause many problems in Nigeria; souls will go. And if they want it to happen, then, they dont’t should not go for an election that will be rigged there will be trouble.”
His crystal ball also painted a picture of trouble for Nigeria and Nigerians in the coming year, saying that if not properly handled, it could degenerate into full scale chaos in the country.
“There is going to be a lot of troubles in Nigeria in the coming year and if we’re not careful, it could lead to chaos. My advice is that parents should warn their children not be used by politicians for their selfish aims.
“I also want to say that politicians should not use other people’s children for their ritual sacrifices for their selfish gains. It’s advisable that every body should go to the elections and as the winners go home rejoicing, the losers should also join the winners to build the Nigerian aspiration,” he advised.
Pastor Robinson, who explained that the church did its annual thanksgiving because it is a Biblical injunction for us to thank God always, adding that the church dedicated its new name from New Creation Pentecostal Church to the Model Church of Christ, pointing out that the Model Church is “looking at the mandate of the new creation.”
