Osun 2018: Markarfi Reacts As INEC Declares Election Inconclusive
The immediate past National Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and presidential aspirant, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, has reacted to announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declaring the just-concluded governorship election in Osun State inconclusive.
Makarfi in a statement signed by his spokesman, Muktar Sirajo urged the people of Osun State to be a little patient as their seven years sufferings will soon be over despite delay.
Makarfi also congratulated the people of Osun State for the orderly and peaceful manner they conducted themselves during the inconclusive gubernatorial election.
He appealed to the members and supporters of PDP in Osun State, especially in those areas where elections are to be repeated, to remain resolute and steadfast by coming out in larger numbers to inflict maximum damage on APC.
According to him: “The long-suffering people of Osun State, who have had to endure a harrowing more than seven years in the hands of the current APC administration, more than three of which were spent with either half salary or no salary by the workforce, will soon end.”
