The report shows that the accident trend declined as the months preceded because of the measures the commission put in place to curb crashes.
It urged Nigerian to obey traffic rules and regulations because it was their disobedience that resulted in these crashes.
“These are not just figures or number, they are human lives we are talking about here.’’
The report says that 3,3756 traffic offenders were arrested in January while 37,440 offences were committed while in February, 40,175 traffic offenders were arrested and 44,798 offences were committed.
It reveals that 50,798 traffic offenders were arrested in March, and 56,300 traffic offences were committed.
The report indicated that there was a reduction in April as compared to March as 38,714 traffic offenders were arrested and 42,764 offences committed.
May recorded 51,520 traffic offenders were arrested and 57134 offences were committed while in June 51, 966 traffic offenders were arrested and 57,690 offences were committed.

“During this period, 50,660,065 passengers travelled within the country and 4,992,027 numbers of vehicles travelled and 25,782 luxury buses travelled across the country.
The report, however, appealed to all Nigerians to joins hands with the FRSC to reduce road crashes.
It says this will enable the FRSC achieve the UN decade of action for road safety because road safety is a shared responsibility.
