AWC: S’Falcons Set To Confirm Group Supremacy
The Super Falcons
of Nigeria will today at the ongoing African Women Championships in Nambia try to garner a hundred percent record and top Group A of the Championship when they take on the hosts in the Group’s final match.
Already, the Falcoons have won their first two matches scoring 10 goals and conceded two to lead the hosts, Namibia in goals difference.
Namibia also boasts excellent record after beating Zambia and Ivory Coast to be certain of qualification for the semi final stage, just as the Falcons.
But today’s encounter will be a matter of supremacy. Victory for either side will ensure leadership of the Groups and avoiding a clash with Group B leaders, Cameroon.
The Falcons have assured that they would go all the way to reclaim the continental title while Namibian coach has promised Nigeria a tough encounter. It is left to be seen how both sides will approach the game having both qualified for the next stage.
