SURE-P Official Charges Contractors On Projects Execution
Contractors handling
SURE-P projects in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State were last week told to adhere strictly to project specifications.
The Chairman, Tenders Board on SURE-P in the council, Mr Festus Adebayo, said this at the opening of the bids for contractors who tendered for the SURE-P projects in the area.
Warning that the era of poor handling of government projects was over, Adebayo declared that jobs not properly executed would not be accepted from the contractors.
According to him, contractors who refuse to comply with job specifications will not only be blacklisted but also prosecuted.
Adebayo gave the assurance that the board would be fair, thorough and transparent to all bidders in the exercise.
He opined that all those who met the requirements as contained in the tender notice and were qualified would be accorded equal opportunities.
Responding on behalf of the contractors, Alhaji Makama Adamu, Managing Director of Mackans Nig. Ltd, Ankpa, commended members of the Tenders’ Board for their transparency.
Adamu promised that successful contractors would live up to expectations of the board by proper execution of the contracts.
