Lagos Grooms Talents For Sports Festival
Mr Agboola Dabiri, Chairman, Lagos State Sports Council, has said that the council was grooming talents discovered from various sporting events for national and international competitions.
Dabiri told newsmen in Lagos that such talents, who were discovered from the sporting activities organised by schools and local governments, were being groomed to replace the aging ones.
“We have just completed an Under-16 competition in Ibadan, and the children did well in swimming, boxing and other events,’’ he said.
Dabiri added that the discovered talents would be paraded at the National Sports Festival holding in November in Rivers State.
