NDDC Donates Medical Equipment To Bayelsa
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has donated medical equipment worth millions of naira to the Bayelsa State Government.
Items donated include Mammography machine for breast cancer detection, ambulance, electronic foetal heart detector, industrial washing machine/dryer and installation.
Others are operating table with sturring, 2d ultra sound machine with single probe, neonatal infant resuscitate, stethoscope and a 30KVA generator.
Presenting the items, Chairman, NDDC Governing Board, Dr. Tarila Tebepah explained that the donation was in keeping with the mandate to intervene in the health needs of the people.
“Whenever issues of health in Bayelsa State come up I am always excited. We are looking forward to a robust partnership with the Bayelsa State Government on quality health service to the State”. Dr. Tebepah declared.
Receiving the items, Bayelsa State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Michael Anapor commended the Commission for its activities so far especially in the health sector.
“Health is about happenings in the Communities, public health is an intervention in the lives of the people in the communities, which is what NDDC has done”. The Commissioner said.
