NCDMB, SON, NAQS Lead On Ease Of Doing Business
The Federal Government, through its Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, has named three agencies as the most efficient organisations with respect to the ease of doing business in the first half of 2023.
It said the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), and the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) emerged as overall top-performing agencies in compliance with the 2022 Executive Order 1.
It disclosed this in the compliance report released by PEBEC in Abuja, which focused on activities of the government agencies from January to June 2023, and ranked the agencies on the basis of efficiency and compliance.
The report, according to The Tide’s source assessed their abilities to provide timely, cost-effective and customer-friendly services, as well as transparency assessment.
The PEBEC 2023 Executive Order Compliance Report assessed the level of implementation of the various executive orders issued by the government to facilitate the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
The top three performing MDAs during the six-month period and their rankings, according to PEBEC, include the NCDMB with 83.06 per cent, followed by SON at 82.85 per cent, and the NAQS ranking third with 69.85 per cent.
