Chairman Welcomes Introduction Of Club Licensing
Chairman of Nigeria National League Club Owners Association, Abdul Sule has welcomed the directive to introduce club licensing regulations and registration of clubs with the Corporate Affairs Commission ahead of the new season.
The Kogi United chairman speaking in a chat with Tidesports source said the idea is good but one that comes with a major challenge of finance considering the lack of sponsorship in the Nigeria National League.
He, therefore, stressed that the implementation of the directive will have to be gradual rather than be abrasive.
“It is a good idea and if we can have the sponsorship like the NPFL will have, it will boost the morale of the club owners and we will look for a way to make sure that the club licensing everything is okay and we try to abide by the rules and regulations of the board so I think it’s a good thing but you know it’s going to be a gradual process,” he said.
