Monarch Wants Omuma Poeple To Support Wike
The Eze Eberi Ugo IX of ancient Omuma kingdom- King. Onyekachi K. Amaonwu has called on Omuma people to be peaceful, law-abiding and support the government of Governor Ezenwo Wike to ensure they continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy in the new year.
Speaking recently in Eberi, he said: “Omuma people are known for their peaceful and peace loving nature. They should continue to exhibit these traits especially as 2019 is an election year.
Youths should shun any attempt by desperate politicians to use them to foment trouble during the elections and rather choose to cast their votes using the one man, one vote policy,” he said, adding that “during the planting season also, there should be no clashes over land.”
The youthful and dynamic traditional ruler lauded the achievements of Governor Wike and urged him to do more for the Omuma people in the new year.
”He should try and complete the 17km road cutting across 8 communities in Omuma and create jobs for the youths so they can be meaningfully engaged. The youths should also not abandon agriculture for the old people and the government should support them with modern equipment to encourage them,” he advised.
