Three Tennis Players Invited To National Team
Three Tennis players from Team Kaduna have been invited to the national camp, ahead of the African Junior Championships (AJC) Division One scheduled to hold in Tunisia from April 7 to April 15.
The Head Coach of the Association, Mohammed Ubale disclosed the development in an interview with the Tidesports source on Tuesday in Kaduna.
He listed the three players as, Gabriel Friday, Favour Moses and Iye Onoja.
The coach added that the three invited players would also play in the Junior CBN in Lagos from April 2 to April 7 before departing for the North African country.
Ubale told Tidesports source NAN that the players could be awarded scholarships at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Centre in Morocco, if they performed well at Tunisia.
According to him, “the AJC is the biggest tournament where all the technical officials are in attendance.
“In this tournament all the technical crews are usually assembled to watch and select the best players from the tournament.
“Some are selected in the European team while some in the ITF continental competitions.
