Facility Maintenance: HOS Promises To Introduce Radical Approach
The Rivers State Head of
Service, Mr. Rufus Godwins, said he plans to introduce a radical approach that will sustain all the facilities at the state secretariat.
He made this disclosure at the end of his facility inspection at the secretariat on Wednesday.
Godwin who inspected the Machine Room, the roof top of Point Block among others, said a refined method for maintenance would be in practice so as to sustain the facilities on ground.
The HOS said the best way to maintain any facility was to ensure that a regular maintenance culture was inculcated into the people.
He also charged workers to learn how to build on the available resources than to destroy them.
He was of the view that such attempt could only be achieved if only people would be dedicated to duty.
According to him, his decision was informed by the Governor Nyesom Wike’s target to restore the pride and glory of the state.
On how to net his plans soonest, he said he will partner the state government on sustainablility and other initiatives.
The legal icon who also visited the Ministry of Establishment charged them to be up and doing in order to measure up with present day challenges.
