Bishop Wants Christians To De-Emphasise Signs And Wonders
Christians have been called
upon to de-emphasise the guest for signs and wonders but worship God in spirit and faith in order to actualise their expectations from God.
A religious leader, in Abia State, Bishop Mike Onuoha gave the charge last week at a special at Osisioma Local Government Area of Abia State.
In a sermon with the theme: “Wilderness Mentality” which he preached in his church – St Paul’s United Spiritual Church of Christ, Umekpe, Osisioma, the man of God said without the Wilderness Mentality, man’s efforts on earth were bound to achieve united success.
Calling on Christians to wait patiently to hear from God before embarking on any venture, Bishop Onuoha said that when Moses experienced the wilderness mentality, he became authoritative in leading the Israelites to the promised land.
The man of God who took his text from the Bible book of Exodus 14: 13-25, recalled that when God also located Joseph in the Prison in Egypt when he (Joseph) interpret Pharoah’s dream, his story changed.
The religious leader assured that God will provide the needs of all who trust and rely on Him while idol worshippers and seekers of miracles will be disappointed.
He charged Christian youth to flee from sin and social vices such as prostitution, drug addiction, secret cults and armed robbery and called on parents to instill in their children and wards good morals that would make the capable future leaders.
