Nsiegbe Commissions 10 Water Projects In PH
Lawmaker Member rep
resenting Port Harcourt Federal Constituency II, Hon (Mrs) Blessing Boma Nsiegbe, has commissioned ten boreholes in the constituency.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony at the various wards across the constituency, Hon. (Mrs) Nsiegbe, said that the situation was a fulfillment of her promises to the people of the constituency to provide them with potable drinking water.
She said that the situation was also part of her empowerment programme to the people of Port Harcourt Constituency II, stressing that, with the completion of the projects, the problem of waterborne diseases prevalent in the constituency was over.
The honourable member however urged the various wards in the constituency to see the projects as their own, stressing that it beholves them to protect them.
She also called on them to see themselves as lucky to have water projects sited in their neighbourhood as many communities across the country don’t have the benefit of getting access to clean water.
The federal lawmaker also called on them to continue to pray for the success of the Jonathan administration as well as for the release of the Chibok College girls.
Hon (Mrs) Nsiegbe used the occasion to assure them of her real preparedness to attract more projects to the constituency and called for their continuous support.
Also speaking, the wife of the former Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Mrs Oroma Nmerukini, described the lawmaker as a God-sent leader to the constituency, stressing that it is the first time the people are experiencing such project from their representative from a federal lawmaker.
Mrs. Nmerukini said that the people were ready to support her to return to the House if she decides to run for a second term.
She also advised the benefitting communities to protect the projects.
