NIIT Graduates 13 PH Journalist
The 13 journalists who benefited from the Emma Anyanwu Foundation ICT programme have concluded their training at the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) in Port Harcourt.
The teacher who is also a senior faculty officer at the institute, Victoria Disemoh, emphasised that the best way to master all the courses, was to practice always.
Disemoh, disagreed that computer programmes were difficult as many believed, stating that it was the easiest among all courses.
Newsmen were also told that a fully developed computergraduate could draw international attention, adding that their ideas are sought globally.
Reports say that the training made some chapels in the state to purchase lap/palm tops for their members to achieve better understanding of the ICT world.
We were further told that the journalists concluded their training recently with power point presentations.
Though their certificates are yet to be issued, but some of them are already doing other programmes to enhance their computer knowledge.
Seven staff of The Tide benefitted from the programme.
It would be recalled that Emma Foundation decided to extend its scholarship scheme for journalists in the state to enable them have better understanding of the digital development of the world.
