NOTAP Holds Agric Exhibition, May
The National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) says it is holding an exhibition in May on agricultural processing technology to promote commercial farming.
Dr Umar Bindir, the Director General of NOTAP, stated this in an interview with newsmen in Abuja.
He said the exhibition would take place at NOTAP’s headquarters in Abuja and would help in creating jobs and wealth for many Nigerians.
Bindir said the event was part of the quarterly exhibitions organised by NOTAP to promote indigenous technology for economy development.
“The exhibition is in line with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture’s focus on promoting commercial farming and food processing for job creation in Nigeria.’’
He said that it would also showcase the technology that had been perfected at the universities, organisations and research institutions in the country as well as those from private inventors.
Bindir said the event would have taken place in March but for the strike that was embarked on by the staff of research institutes earlier in the year.
