Jos Airport’s Re-Modelling Enters Final Phase –FAAN
Re-modelling of the Yakubu Gowon Airport in Jos, has entered its final stage, an official of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has said.
FAAN’s Public Affairs Officer at the airport, Mr Alfred Itua, made the announcement in a statement, e-mailed to our correspondent last Tuesday in Abuja.
Itua said that the capacity of the airport’s re-modelled terminal building, was increased from 250 to 600 passengers, pointing out that the airport would become more business friendly and comfortable after the re-modelling.
“In addition to its aesthetic appreciation of the landscape, the new terminal building would also provide a relaxed atmosphere, comfortable and smooth facilitation for passengers and airport users.
“It will also be commerce friendly as more shops will be available for shopping purposes at the airport.
“FAAN regrets any inconvenience faced by passengers and airport users, due to the ongoing terminal building remodelling,” he said.
Itua said the Jos Airport was one of the 11 airports in the country currently undergoing renovation.
