Group Criticizes Opposition In Bayelsa
A Group in Bayelsa State, the Grassroots Elders forum (GEF), has flayed politicians opposed to Governor Timipre Sylva’s programmes and policies.
The group in a statement signed by its leader, Elder Pedro Igoni, alleged that opponents have not allowed the governor space to perform his duties.
Igoni expressed dismay that politicians opposed to the administration claimed that Sylva is not loyal to them.
They want him to take instructions from them, which is myopic. The party does not belong to any group in the state, he said.
He lamented that the same politician, were against former Governor DSP Alamieyeseigha, and now they are at it again.
The GEF leader stated that the Sylva-led administration has introduced some result-oriented measures that has correctively helped to sanitise the state financially in order to restore the integrity of the state.
The staff biometrics exercise among others, according to him, is a laudable exercise tht has fished out a lot of ghost workers in civil service of the state.
Let us commend Governor Timipre Sylva and support him in ridding the state of these elements” said Igoni.
He further appealed to citizens to support the Sylva-led administration, and however pointed out that Governor Sylva is a human being and therefore could make some mistakes too.
