In a bid to support the fight against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in Rivers State, Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has donated a life support ambulance to the Rivers State Government.
Making the donation to the government in Port Harcourt recently, the General Overseer of OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere said the gesture which shall be permanent was part of the church’s commitment towards assisting the masses in this trying period.
The cleric said he would never relent in his efforts to continue to support the government in whatever measures within his reach “to fight the satanic epidemic manufactured from the pit of hell to sweep the earth of its inhabitants”.
The general overseer, who runs a free Specialist Hospital in Rivers State explained that the donation was made from the church members’ tithes and offerings.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Rivers State Government, the Commissioner for Health, Prof Princewill Chike appreciated the general overseer for the rare gift to the Ministry of Health and indeed the Rivers State Government, and urged other agencies and corporate organisations to emulate the footsteps of OPM in ensuring the complete eradication of Coronavirus in the society.
The commissioner further indicated that the disease has messed up the medical profession, having defied every medical cure, and enjoined all and sundry to comply with all the prescribed preventive measures to guarrantee a healthy society.
Chike used the occasion to solicit for prayers for the government and the people of the state.
