Ministry Promises To Partner Groups, Individuals On Advocacy Campaign
The Rivers State Ministry of Information and Communications has restated its preparedness to partner with individuals and organisations of like minds to project the interest of the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim, who said this during a courtesy call in his office in Port Harcourt by Rivers Peace Project, a socio-political organization in the state, said it was the responsibility of everyone living and doing businesses in the state to join the campaign to reposition the state for investment, adding that the vocal minority who go about demarketing the state should never be allowed to succeed.
The Permanent Secretary said the state was fortunate to have a Governor who had created a conducive environment for businesses in the state, stressing that the consistent flights of Turkish airline into Port Harcourt was indication that Rivers State was safe for investment.
He described the state, our responsibility “campaign as a holistic one, adding that the campaign was aimed at ensuring behavioural change in the state.
Nsirim commended the Rivers PEACE project for identifying with the campaign and urged it to carry the message across the country that Rivers State is safe for investment.
Earlier, the project coordinator, Rivers PEACE PROJECT, Hon. John Egwim, commended the ministry for the vision behind the campaign, stressing that the group will key into it with the view to projecting the good image of the state.
