ASDC Wants Workers, Athletes To Participate In 10km Walk
Chairman, Anambra Sports Development Commission (ASDC), Tony Oli has urged the residents of the state to participate in its 4th monthly 10km walk for a healthier living.
Oli made the call while speaking with newsmen in Awka, yesterday.
Tidesports source reports that the walk which is scheduled for February 2, will hold in Onitsha, the commercial city of the state.
Oli said the walk was to promote good health in people from all walks of life irrespective of their age.
He said the monthly walk was part of the robust programmes the commission had lined up for the year.
According to him, the walk will commence at Zik’s Roundabout and go through Awka road, Old Market road, Edgerton, Sports Club, GRA, Lodge, Shoprite and terminate at the Chuba Ikpeazu Mini Stadium.
“We have had three editions of this 10km walk in Awka area and we have decided to take it to another major city, Onitsha.
“This will avail the people of the area the opportunity to enjoy this healthy lifestyle which we are introducing in the state; our intention is to take it across the state.
